that really provides no information.

GX81 chasers/mark II's have a front sump. its actually wider then the block

Whats the story with the winged front sumps. The sump off've my GX81 wasn't one. Just plan old block sized one.

The winged front Sump requires the matching oil pick up and crank scraper plate. They were fitted to the water to Air Gen 1 1G-GTE.

my 1g is ex GX81 and the sump was like 2.5 times the width of the block

My engine came from a GX81 Chaser made in 1990 and had a Gen 3 1GGZE with a front sump, no wings. See my Hilux conversion thread.
