    have you attempted to syncronize them??? It would account for poor running, but not likely for inability to start......

    yeah. I measure the amount of air being sucked through the throttles and it was pretty much the same.

    I used a thingamigig that measures vaccum thats being drawn through the carby inlet.

    floats are rarely 'shagged". if plastic, they may get a few drops of fuel in them. usually its a faulty needle valve that gives gross richness. if you have SU's designed for angled mounting and mount them horizontally, or vice-versa, you'll always have grief. Bowls must be level.

    Terryo, I found a marking on the tapered needle. They have "FX" stamped on them. Do you know what kind of car this needle this suited to? they are fairly short. I'm guessing something bigger than a 1200cc??
