Amayama may or may not be able to source the part. Worth a shot, but a lot of these parts are completely NLA. Amayama will do their best to accommodate if they can. Best to see if you can get some new half moons at the same time if possible...

Looking at ordering this for the efi conversion far as I can tell all else I'll need is a couple bungs for iat and coolant sensor, a map sensor and a tps. Is there anything I'm overlooking. What's a good tps to use I picked up a 22re but It isn't going to work for me I think vl is next on the list for me to check out has anyone had any luck with something else

ha ha, i've also looked into this for my GEU. Feels like i've looked into everything, but achieved nothing.

theres probably a 2 -3 page discussing on what can be used for Yr EFI with approx pricing. Jab was so helpful in his description i've what i should look at.
But my efi is still in progress.

Its one of those gaskets you can make from a cereal box and some aviation forma gasket

Guys, im trying to figure out where this Yellow/green wire actually connects too.
It comes off the alternator loom, but its not for the alternator.
the wiring diagram suggest a sensor, water i think, but i find it weird its on the battery side of the engine bay.
I say yellow and green but might have been white ages ago.
Any help would be great.

Is this the loom off your car or a donor one? Could be for an oil level sensor? (On mine it goes down to the sump, can't recall colour though).

(That colour does suggest water temp i think, but on mine it comes out of a six pin connector near the chassis rail on the right hand side).

The 18RC has the coolant sensor on the L/H side of the engine, when fitting the 18rg you need to extend the coolant sensor wire to suit,

It looks a lot like my coolant sensor did (18RC)

On the celica's, yellow green is coolant, which connects to thermo housing on drivers side on an RG. Yellow black is oil, and yellow white is charge light.

Remember that the thermo housing is on the passenger side one the RC.

Also, I think the alternator wire colours should be blue, green and white/black. The charge light comes from the external regulator.

I can confirm it is for the temperature gauge as my RN41 has the same setup as in your picture. Also Toyota are quite good in their wiring colours being the same for each component on most models

i haven't had a chance to look at this again.
This is on the actual Original car loom.
There are other wires going from the ECU loom to the water and temp sensors.
So, i guess it is for the std temp gauge.
So, will confirm this weekend.
i made a small vid of the wires for the ea Alternator which will also be put on the EA thread. hope it helps as there was a bit of confusion on that thread.

Ok I have a strange problem, my engine was rebuilt years ago, it's never had oil in it , I've regularly turned it over just to keep everything free and while I was installing the flywheel and clutch it's locked up and now it won't turnover anymore. Is it possible the lack of oil has just fucked it?

will it turn back from the direction you were turning it?? it is possible the timing chains have gathered or lack of oil has been a contributor. Surely there was plenty of moly or assembly lube used when bolting it together...
