Would 450cc work? The mitsubishi 1g dsm injectors work well (eBay worldwide search it) and are big enough for a turbo upgrade later

i bought some mitsu EVO injectors, which were dual pintle.... and then got the pintle caps changed to single pintle.
    Easy as pie.

Not sure if you can do that with toyota injectors, but i could do it with those ones.
I still ahve them too.... with their ~600cc/min flow

SIDE NOTE - anyone got a spare 18RG flywheel? I need one.

i actually want a standard flywheel.... so im happy with that.
Rens - you are closer, so let me know if you have it. It'll be getting a machining anyway.

O_man. 450cc would work. But i already have 460cc rx injectors ready to go.
I just think they maybe to big for my motor. Thus the search for 300 to 390cc's

they should provided you have prograble ECU to change the duty cycle

What ecu are you running? The ms2 I used to have didn't have troubles controlling 450's off boost. 700's may be a bit coarse for cheap ecu's though.

Not for the built motor surely???

I have a stocky you can have but NOT if you are thinking of spinning it hard ; -)

Guys im running std ECu with piggy back Emanage blue and E-o1 controller. It noted that the emange controls up to 150% increase in injectors, thats from 210cc std to 315cc is doable. i know stand alone is better but this was sooo cheap.
anyways i was looking at duty cycles and scenarios below.

    18rgeu gives @125hp so
    give it 50psi fuel
    duty cycle 50%
    = 28.41lbs /298.3cc injectors
    giving that I can use 324cc inj / 28.55lbs

or go for 160hp with mods done on motor
    .45 psi
    .80 duty cycle
    22.2/236.25cc inj
    which means i can use 240cc injectors/

    or 200hp
    .50 psi
    .60 duty cycle
    41.67lbs/437.5cc
    meaning I can use 460cc/43.77lbs

    or 200hp
    .45psi
    .80 d/cycle
    28.13lbs/295.31cc
    meaning. Use the 324cc / 28.55lbs

    Does this make sense?
There's so many senario's, but the HP side is the variable on the above.
This can be achieved with emanage piggyback only or stand alone comp.
which way would be te most efficient and desirable scenario?

dude - i would seriously consider ditching the Emanage and going stand alone.
It will make a MAAAASSSSIVE improvement in the driveability and performance of the engine.

The major difference is the fully programmable ignition curve. In particular if you are using 9.7:1 pistons, like i was, i found the stock mech advance dissy caused my engine to ping at around 2500rpm under load, unless you wind back the base timing (thus lose advance over 3000rpm). I had to pull the base timing back to 7º btdc, which was shithouse (running 98ron fuel as well).

When i upgraded to Megasquirt, i learnt a lot. I found that i needed to pull nearly 5deg timing out around that 2500rpm mark to avoid pinging (yes i tried messing with fuel mix at those bins, made no impact)....... but the benefit was i could run full advance above 3000rpm once that "ping hole" (as i called it) was passed.

Upgrading your injector size with the stock ecu, even if using Emanage, will affect driveability and economy at lower loads/engine speeds.
I cant recommend stand alone ecu enough

Megasquirt, haltech or adaptronic would be my list of suitable candidates.

    it'll be fine!

Unless you can find me a source of a decent steel flywheel at a reasonable price.
I have reservations of throwing spastic power on an aluminium alloy flywheel. It just seems.... scary.

Kameari do a crmo flywheel. Try rhd in Japan, their prices aren't too bad either.

In saying that, I would trust my fidanza aluminium a lot more than a stock unit. Just remember top fuelers run aluminium conrods, and your pistons are aluminium, and they are in much worse environments.
