Justen, the exhaust manifold is 100% incompatible with a non-twin cam 18R. It definitely looks to be 18R-G bolt pattern.
Obviously doesn't include the intake manifold required.

What does the stock exhaust system of 18RG's consist of? And I have made an exhaust consisting of extractors, straight 2.5" pipe, one half baffle Lukey muffler, no cat, and side exhit exhaust. At a guess, will this be too loud to pass rego? My engine aint running yet so I have no idea
i know my RA23 passed with a hotdog in the middle and one massive fuckoff muffler at the rear. No need for a cat as they were before that time.
i have a side exit. 2 1/4. one muffler and one hot dog, its not too bad. the distance past the last opening window required is 200mm

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tanks of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

Thats right, I forgot lol, did it matter whether it was exiting out the driver or pasenger side? And whats a hot dog good for, doesn't it just make the exhaust bellow/ drone?
nah i didnt find any rules regarding what side it came out, it couldnt protrude past the bodywork of the car. umm, i originally had just one muffler on it, and it was a bit too noisy for my liking so i took it back to the exhaust shop and he put a hotdog in it and it was notibly quieter, perhaps im using the wrong term lol, resonator i think would make more sense. fumes were a problem with with window down when i had the tip pointing straight out, with a downturned tip it was better, but still there. i rely on the fact any policeman pulling me over wont notice the rear windows wind down..
Edit: dont quote me on whether the side of the car it comes out matters, i just didnt find anything regarding that when i was going through all the ADR's and blueslip rules.

NSW rules are that it must exit the drivers side, at least XXXX distance from the rearmost opening window.
On an RA28, the rearmost opening window is the door.... which means that a sidepipe is LEGAL on an RA28 (in NSW)..... but not on an RA23 because the quarter windows wind down on an RA23.
Check with thetoyman75 (rod).... he has side pipe on his RA28, and went through the rules quite thoroughly.

As for that turbo kit... it is definitely for an 18RG.... looking at the pipes, it does seem like for an 18RGEU, but ill be fucked if i know how it arranges itself!!
That big flat thing looks like some kind of intercooler/intake joiner/frypan..... actually.... fuckit - too hard to work out.
...... butt scratcher?!
The rules used to be 400 mm from the last opening( ie door/ window). Haven't checked it lately if it's been changed.
Hi,
Can I have a pipe down each side?
