    Default Alarm problems...

The alarm that is installed in my car is playing up at the moment. I opened the boot and connected the battery, and had no problems. I then pressed the button to open the car - no problems. Did the fiddling around I needed to do inside (nothing electrical), and shut the door. Reconnected the battery to relock the car, and the alarm started making a fast clicking sound, and the doors won't relock.

I'm not sure about the make of alarm (Redback rings a bell, but I searched and couldn't find anything), but the remote looks similar to this one, but the button on the left is grey and the one on the right is light green, and the body is a darker grey.

I CAN lock the doors manually, but I'm worried about being able to unlock them again, as there are no keyholes anymore.

    Any suggestions anyone?

The alarm is actually a Black Widow

I have some books here for it. I have some books here from when I fitted it.

Jamie, do you have any idea what it could be? Do you know if Nathan had any problems like this? It's been fine up until now....

BeRad, pos rep for lateral thinking about the window! (I was so rushed I didn't even think of that!)

'S okay, it's working again now, though I'm not quite sure why? Hope it doesn't happen again...could leave me up shit creek I think.

The car in question cannot be locked/unlocked with a key. It has had the locks removed from the door skin.

Good to see you got it sorted out then.
