Default ST165 Foglights - Whats the go?

Just pulled the foggies off of my ST165 to change over the annoying japspec yellow globes, wanted to put some super bright white/blue phillips globes in it. However when I pulled the globe out of the foggy it was white and there was a built in yellow lens. Is there anyway to get this yellow lense out or do I have to replace the whole outer piece?

My mate had nice white globes in his 165, I know it came like that when he bought it from the previous owner. Just wondering if theres a simple solution or if someone can post up prices and whats involved in changing them over.

might just be easier in getting a new set of foggies or spotties of the same size, rather than dicking around with OEM Toyota stuff. I've considered putting in some foggies or spotties into my 162's new SSV front bar (see avatar) but with the amount of bugs it collects there already it's going to make things worse eventually.

best bet is take one of your foggies to somewhere like supercheap (supercrap) or opposite lock and get a sizing of what's good to replace these lights. buy them, change over the stock connectors onto the new lights so it's all nice and neat, and bob's your aunt.

The reason they use a yellow lens is because they are designed to scatter light so that it doesn't reflect back off fog/rain. These lights aren't entirely useless while we don't see fog often here we do get rain. At least it's stock and not something that might attract attention from the po po.
