that's great. thank you. Only 10:1! just kidding. ps do you know what the bore and stoke of a 3/2tg turns out to be. just trying to do some maths
Justin K,
Grahame's business is Called Wilkins Race Engines and he is in Stanton Road at Seven Hills. I can get his number tomorrow if you can't find it.
I can personally recommend him very highly having owned at least 5 of his engines. It sounds like you know what your after so have a chat with him and if you go ahead contact DAVGT4 on these forums as he has some 88.5mm 10:1 forged pistons made for a 2/3TG Hybrid race motor I was going to build.

Hmmm.... I wonder if Wilkins can do a little work on my 18R-G?

3t - 78mm stroke, 2t 70mm stroke.
pretty sure its 85mm bore.
Excuse my ignorance, but would the normal EFI setup on a 2TGEU be considered "EFI Qaud throttle bodies"? Or is this something beyond the normal 2TGEU inlet setup?Originally Posted by TheToyman75

Justin K,
The pistons were made by SPS for a engine I had planned for the pornstar. I limited the compression to 10:1 for pump gas without Massive cams. It was to be Daily driven.
The pistons are for a 3.5mm overbore.
Gene,
The Quad throttle bodies are not a factory option on the 2TGEU. It only has the one throttle body. The factory EFI manifold is by no means a "performance" orientated item. Its works well for what it was designed for.
River,
Call me at work tomorrow but yes he could deffinatly breath life into an 18R-G for you![]()

Thanks, I thought it was probably a performance mod rather than the standard EFI, just curious.

Hi,
The original FI set up for the 2T-GEU was mainly put in place for emission control, and not for performance.
Justin, TBs look kinda like and sound kinda like carbs... but sadly, they aren't carbs.

As an option to increase the capacity of the 2T-G you can put the 3T crank in and fly cut as set of 3T pistons to clear valves. Another option would be to purchase cast pistons that provide 1750cc or 2000cc. You will need the 3T crank for the 2000cc pistons. The 18R-G also has pistons to bring it up to 2200cc.Originally Posted by JUSTIN K

I find the whole idea of carbs and a turbo toooooo scary!
Must take so much maintanance. Having said that there used to be an orange celica getting around in Brisvegas with that kit on it and it flew!
Much better!Originally Posted by river
