    Default A few 20V questions...

    1.Can I use a 16V oil filtre on a ST 20V?
    2. What is the thickness of the standard headgsket?
    3. What is the order/steps and tightening torque for head bolts?

I Can't answer the first two questions.

The last one, I will quote the manual:

Install and uniformly tighten, in several passes:
    Torque: 30N-m (300Kgf-cm, 22 ft-lbf)

Mark the front of the cylinder head bolts with paint. Retighten the bolts 90 degrees in numerical order. Retighten the bolts an additional 90 degrees in numerical order. Paint mark should be opposite to where it started.

I am not sure how best to describe the order to you as I am not sure how to put the picture of it on here. From a top view with the cam pulley end (front) of the head on the left, number one is centre-bottom, number two is centre top, number three is bottom-middle-right, number four is top-middle-left, number five is top-middle-right, number six is bottom-middle-left, number seven is bottom-right, number eight is top-left, number nine is top-right and number ten is bottom-left. I hope that makes some sort of sense.

Does it mean I first tighten everything to 30Nm and then do antoher 180 degrees on each head on top of that? Also how many steps would you recomend to do to get to 30Nm?

Yes, that is right. Each bolt must be done up to 30Nm of torque, then you tighten each one, in order, a further 90 degrees, and then a further 90 degrees in order after that.

To get to the 30Nm of torque I would probably do it in maybe three steps, 10Nm, 20Nm and then 30Nm. It might be overkill, but really, it only takes a few minutes. The more steps the better really.
