my z20 had no aircon what so ever and i drove to Syd and Back ....

Windows down + 140kph = instant aircon ...

although some temps it was more of a burn than a cool ... :s

Still ...

Mark II on this trip is going to be a Luxury Loungeroom... will be an easy trip assuming my 40,000 kms 1G holds up..

Yeah I haven't really bothered with it, plus, no doubt it has all been cut out when the EMS went in.

Neither did my XX, but we had some pretty favourable weather. We got bloody lucky. Aircon is a prerequisite to get working when the 1UZ goes in the JZA80.

That could just be a lack of gas. Once the system reaches a certain pressure low the compressor clutch will stop engaging to save the seals which need the oil carried in the refrigerant

Then you have over a year to get it quieter

an ae86, 100kph @ 4500 rpm 5th gear hehe driving it around isnt bad its the highway that can suk.

and air con is awesome i never used to think so, now as i get older comfort is everything and my other car has aircon and i rather dirve that.

im in the process of putting the a/c back in the sprinter, it will be my best and most preferred mod.

i dunno eek, its g series so maybe 4.1's and a w58 box.

hilux g series 2wd diff not shaw what engine the hilux had in it.
my 86 has 4a.

Wow, you'll never break that diff. Ratio sounds like it could use changing though. At those revs at that speed I'd guess it's currently shorter than 4.1

heh shoulnt break it those axles are huge.
it has a really tall 5th and is perfect for drags when i put a/c in it ill put 3.7's or 3.9's in it.
out of arsyness my speedo was correct aswell.

yeah but who wants to drive with no aircon on during the middle of the day...they will stink worse than a dead fishermans arsehole

LOL dude my aircon works sweet in the soarer..deadset i have only used it like once or twice..

windows down is all you need
