    id also factor in that fuel may well be $2/litre by then. possibly higher.


    best to start converting your cars to electric now


    if you come as far north as townsville then i might be able to provide accomodation. depends if im still living with the folks i guess

    yeh, i live on the flinders highway pretty much at the moment.

    you would head out via charters towers, Mt ISA....

    i bet your spewing there is no open limits heading to darwin now

    if i go to the nationals in 09' then ill be able to convoy all the way home with you guys

    i convoyed with the brisbane guys last time but i had to do the 1400k bris-tvl stint solo.

    my car uses to much fuel i dont think ill make the next fuel station from adelaide.
    would be a good trip tho.

    Yeah seriously, I don't think your consumption could be any worse than mine with big fuel pump, 550's etc etc

    what kind of temps and humidity will you be driving thru? for 10-15K km of highway driving you might find no-aircon will save you a fair amount of fuel plus lighten the cooling load on the engine.
