no, i looked in the euro EPC

if it was a US only thing, thens its possibly on their system. theres no manual JCE anywhere i can see.
not all toyotas are on the EPC. ie the ae93, thats an aussie only car and isnt on toyotas EPC. its on that ghey system they use in aussie. which i hate. lots.
possibly the US have some of thier own EPC discs. a lot of of US market stuff is on the general and euro cd's.

Yeash, it baffles me why the manual mad Euros didn't get a manual IS300, yet the auto mad yanks did
Admittedly, the US didn't get an IS200 & for the Euros, the 3.0L 2J is getting big.

Probably plenty of other Toyota ones that interchange in there though that you could get from a wrecker

yeah no doubt there are plenty of v12 engined cars out there, haha....

i'll try and adapt a 1uz starter.... both engines share the same flex plate and ring gear... there's a start.

ok im having a problem installing the region cd's and its starting to shit me.

everything has gone smooth until i try to install the region cd's to the hdd. ive followed the video instructions to no avail.

the only thing i can think of is... unlike in the videos, in my initial setup menu in the program, my "current cd area version" options are greyed out. it looks like japanese is selected and i cannot click on any other region. Im guessing this might be my problem but why?

    is anyone elses like this?

(my actual problem is when i insert the relevant region cd (eg US A1) and then select the appropriate options according to the videos, then go to execute. it just continually asks me to retry. it will not pickup the cd despite me being able to navigate it via windows...

    please help.

You need to set the Drive to read from when you do the initial instillation

ie, load cd from drive ? (E:\)

this is exactly the problem i had, go back to the beginning and set the correct drive

It can be tricky for the novice installer, but once you get it right you'll wonder what all the confusion was. If it's any consolation, it took me about three goes to get it just right, and I watched the videos each time.

Better to wipe everything and start from scratch.

    Good luck,

    Cheers,

    Peter

PS. I noticed on another forum someone distributing the 2002 version for $8.

Funny how there's heaps of the Toyota version floating around, yet trying to get a Subaru one is really difficult.

Also, you don't have to copy the files onto individual CDs either. You can mount the .iso files using a virtual drive like Daemon tools. Just make sure you've got something already mounted when you start so that the installation program recognises the extra drive.
