2004 should be a good year
iv noticed the latest jap updates dropping off a lot of older cars than i still get asked for.
luckily i still have old version on my lappy that ill be keeping!

please note that the epc has a few tricks in it, so dont get too carried away with arguing with parts guys about things, sooo many times iv had ppl insist they have the epc and im wrong!

how does this version work? the one we use you partition ya drive into cd sized partitions for each disc. so my lappy has about 16 partitions!!
I DONT WORK FOR TOYOTA ANYMORE
    please, no more PMs!

although saying that, if you give them part numbers for the parts you've found. The parts guys i deal with love me for it, cause they don't have to search thru the system for individual parts. Saves time, and 9times out of 10 they give me trade as well haha....

the old EPC was great for 3SGTE parts with the local parts guy...

yeah old parts become redundant and sometimes replaced with other parts. Ive run into that a few times.

And some difference in part numbers here and there. But for the most part, part numbers are generally correct.

No this one installs on your Hard Disk in a 5GB partition or virtual drive.

I installed the main T_EPC program last night without too many hassles.

At one stage it says there is an error but gives you the option of continuing with the install. Just click OK to do that and it finishes. Depending on your system it may also warn you (mine did once) that you have a later version of some driver or something. Click Yes to keep your existing more up-to-date driver. Everything else should be sweet.

You run the main T_EPC program from the Start Menu as normal.

You have to do two setups. Initial Setup and CD Setup.

Initial setup is OK but I'm thinking I'll load all the data discs on another small drive rather than create virtual CD partitions for all the discs. The program gives you the option of loading from CD or Hard Disk. Haven't worked this part out yet but I'll have another play tonight. It might help to read the 2000 User Manual first and watch that video again.

I noticed also that the data discs (at least the Jap ones I looked at) are all dated 2004 so it means this distribution of the T_EPC will be reasonably up-to-date, and will cover most of the engines we are using/transplanting.

If you get a copy and are having trouble installing it, let me know here so we can all benefit from mutliple systems setups.

    Cheers,

    Peter

In the CD Setup you have multiple fields, one for each category eg. Jap, Euro, US, etc and then you specify which of the data discs you have (A1, A2, B1, B2, B3 etc) in each field and whether its loaded on CD (you specify the CD Drive letter eg. d: ) or Hard Disk (again specify the drive letter eg. e: )

When you see it it will become clear. This is the part I'm still working on how to setup. Probably off HD it will be quicker to load.

I take your point. In fact, there was a suggestion that you could install on a USB stick, say a 1Gb, but the downside is you have to remember to load the USB stick each time you want to run the T_EPC. Might be worth a think, actually. The main install only needs 20Mb.

I just had a thought. Tonight I will upload the instruction manual and the four videos (if I can) to let everyone have a look and read. You guys can take it from there.
