    Ok I'm confused...

Initially all I thought all that was required for the conversion was the AZ6 gearbox (Obviously), a T50 bellhousing, and this LEEN adaptor plate. After going through the website, it seems there is a series of other parts that I'm not sure are required, but would appear to almost double the cost of the conversion. So, if I have the AZ6 gearbox, and my own T50 bell housing, do I need anything other than the "LEEN Adaptor Plate"???

Please note, I am actually very interested in performing this conversion, but not if it costs twice as much as I had initially thought

    Cheers,
    Nader.

"5) Flywheel Pilot Bearing (Approx. €25 / $36 USD) ... Can be sourced locally, special order bearing"

Is the spigot bearing a special type?

I am unsure who would buy this adapter. Most corolla owners would be too tight or just buy one already bolted to a beams engine, the clubman guys would struggle to fit it and don't even get me started on the ke70 guys. I hope to be proven wrong

I have one of these boxes for my ke70, but buggered if i am re inventing the wheel! I will either do a simple adaptor plate, or a cby style cut and weld. I am still trying to figure out how to deal with the shifter position, which is SOOOO far back. It's not like stumbling across a broken rx8 box for the extension housing is an easy task. Next step might be to try and find a broken sxe10 bock and use that tail housing on the mx5 box.

By the time of the leen conversion adds up IMO I would rather just get a type9 ford quaife box and 4age bellhousing, a few k more and could get a full sequential race box.

The shifter position isn't that far back hey. I have one of these boxes in my AE86, and it's not too far back by any means.

I plan on replacing a T50 with an AZ6 in a 4age powered clubman. Currently, the shifter from the T50 sits too far forward, so the AZ6 would be better in that respect. I'm more worried about the AZ6 either being too wide for the trans tunnel, or being completely different to mount, compared to the T50... How do the mounting points compare, and how much longer is the AZ6 with this adaptor, compared to a standard T50???

wow that's harsh for something I sell for $8, unless I am missing something.

I am not sure what that expression means, can you explain it for me?

either way rereading my post I think I came across harsher than what I intended, I will edit it.

Now the relocated shifter housing looks really interest, now correct me if I am wrong but the rear housing is removed, sent to the U.K to be modified and then mailed back?

hehehehe... concerning E7s... yeah I was going to call Sam's bluff, since my intention is to install this in my E7

btw... the adapter I was involved with got to about 80% completed before the shop involved gave up because they had lost waaaay too much money developing it. Here is our mostly finished version(from a Miata/MX5) alongside a J160. Ours used a spliced inputshaft (T50 spline connected to the Miata shaft) this also allowed "ours" to use all stock 4AGE clutch parts

As you can see my guy "attempted" to shorten the shifter too(note 2 shifter boxes on the Miata tailhousing), but in his case he damaged the tailhousing and it was at that point that he gave up

Ok so is there still an adaptor available/being produced???

    What's with LEEN? (LEEN Gearbox Conversions | LEEN SXE10 Adaptor | AE86 4AGE)

LEEN's adapter is similar to mine, but being developed independently. I've had a few email conversations with LEEN, and they are trying to get this to market. The one that was being developed by me and Pineapple Racing is still just a prototype and isn't in production.
