My 3T GTE oil temp runs around 85 C when driving it without boost. Depending how much boost you run and how hard the engine is pushed oil temps obviously go up.

For my engine at 14 psi boost the temp gets to around 105 C if I really give the engine a work out.

    Hope this helps,
    Simon

terryo, what i was mainly trying to point out is that the toyota factory setup pictured also feeds oil to the turbo. Without something there, wheather there's an oil cooler in line or not, the turbo needs to recive oil from this location.

i have got the late model non oil cooled sandwich plate on there at the moment. i think i will get an oil temp guage today and post the results, that will give everyone a better idea if i need to do something or not. also 3t-ra40/ta22 gt have u ever had to buy a new starter motor for your 3tgte mine wont tick over anymore(as of yesterday) it has been playing up for a while, what vehicle did u specify to get another one?? if anyone knows what one will fit it would be appreciated. after seeing that 3t-ra40 and ta22 gt both have in excess of 200 hp i fell kind of sad with mine only having 84.

    thank you
Looking for a new toy. If you have something 18r powered let me know.
