    Default wastegate problem.. opinion??

    check this pic out..

this is the way i was told to hook up the twin exit wastegates on my 1jzgte.. to not worry about the inside one and leave it as it is and hook up the outer ones..

now where the pink 'L' are i drilled a hole and put the 'L' pieces from our stock ct12's so i can have a vac for the boost controller..

but i have been told this..

"This picture is correct, but taking the vac so close to the turbo will result in lower standard boost and your wastegates might creep open a little and take longer to spool up. You need good Vac to keep the wastegates closed until you hit your desired boost"

what are your opinions on this? also if i have done wrong by putting those 'L's on the best place to get a vac from would be the inlet plenum (prob the vac line for the standard bov which i took out??)

    In a way you have.

It is better to take a line from the inlet manifold as it is a more stable source of boost. Plus it is the true indicator of exactly what boost the engine is taking.

There can be pressure drops across the intercoller etc etc. so taking a line from the manifold is best.
