    Default ae93 gti specs

    hows it going im after some specs on the ae93 gti wondering what diff they have whether it is the same as the 4agze with the stronger shafts etc any help would be great also can you fit a 20 valve to a gti gear box looking at doing a conversion on my gti

    Your box should be a C52
    Silvertop 20V's came out with either a C52 (early model) or C56 (later model with better 3rd and 4th gear ratios.) Probably also got the "equal length driveshafts" = better. These are all drop-in fit to your car.
    The 4AGZE's came with E series (E52, E58 I think) which are heavier and stronger with stronger shafts. You can fit this box to your GTi but will need different mount I think.
    THe Blacktops also came out with the C160 (6 speed) box which is also a drop in fit. Even nicer ratios here. The blacktop and GZE boxes are more likely to come in the LSD option.
