^ Why the hell is there a pic of me up here, without my permission/royalties?

Back onto the rod, maybe you should look into the old school Toyota V8's, they have a lot more old-school-coolness to them (appearance wise) compared to a 1UZ. Look into the 5V V8 from a VG40 Century.

Cheers man, that a more use-able response! lol

Do you know if there is much aftermarket support for them? What about old land crusiers? What V8's do they use?

The 5V is EFI only, so you'd be in the same boat. Earlier V series engines are single carb but they're even harder to find, and the 5V is rare enough as it is. Aftermarket support is nil.

Landcruisers use the 2UZ-FE, basically an iron-block 4.7L version of the 1UZ.

'Old' landcruisers though generally have 253's, 308's or 302's in them.

Well if you're talking engine conversions, practically everything has been attempted at one time or another!

Chev came in a 302 as well.

Although it would be a waste to put one in 4WD.

Yes, true... got me there! *hands over flannel shirt in shame*

I suspect Cruz wasn't thinking of Chev when he said 302 though!

While we're at it, let's not forget the Chev 305, 307, 327 and Holden 304 either hey?

My near-stock 1UZ has 500 horsepower when I'm at the pub, and when I finish the turbo one, it'll have more grunt than a top fueller. The pub isn't just a place for people to read the form guide y'know...

Back to the original topic, has anyone got some closer pics of those Kiwi 4 barrel manifolds? I'd like to see one from inside, underneath, etc. I'm getting re-inspired on a silly idea from a while back...

Registering a hot rod is pretty lax I believe, no emissions tests if I remember correctly. Im sure there are plenty of ECUs that will run ignition only, Im 99% sure the Megasqurt 2 will.
