Yeah i always use R31 calipers and disks for G-series conversions. For me, they're the easiest and cheapest way to convert G-series to disks. The most expensive part of the conversion is actually making up new handbrake cables to suit. I've yet to find a standard handbrake cable that will suit the setup (although i probably haven't looked that hard either ) I'm not sure what cables Rod used in his setup but i had some made up from scratch.

If you're already getting your axles modified, make sure they machine and taper the centrebore to suit the disks you plan on using at the same time (its 68mm for skyline disks). Also depending on what Hilux axles you have, the outside of the hub may need to be slightly shaved by around 5mm or so to fit into the disk. But the bonus is that r31 disks come in 4x114.3 as standard.

If you like, i can probably source another set of adaptor brackets for the r31 gear. Drop me a pm if you like. Also, mind if i ask where your getting the axle work done?

    Eddie.
    4agte finally completed. 234rwkw @ 8125rpm. Tis fun

You can get blanks from DBA if you dont mind waiting for a while. The MA70 rotors are still made in the US and you have to wait for the next run to get them.
