Yes you can block the rear water port with no probs, but its the best point to get the temps with ease!
in the back of my 4agze head there are two sensors if i relocate those sensors can i just block up the hole or will it effect the flow of the cooling system
sorry if this has been asked before but i counldnt find anything

I dont like the idea of blocking it off as the watewr pump draws the hot water from the back of the head.
If it is blocked off That water at the back of the head will have nowhere to go and could cause a hot spot and possible gasket failure.

Which is exactly right, and indeed the cause of failure on a smallport i did the HG a while back in. Crud had blocked the rear port, and while the dash temp sensor wasnt showing overly hot, the back of the head was reading about 120*C.Originally Posted by 30psi 4agte

can i just join it to the heater hose tht runs under the inlet manifold
If you mean the one which leads to the back of the thermostat housing. Then yes.
There are a couple which lead along the back of the head under the inlet manifold.
