Building a 3TGTE turbo motor

SHIT thats some good figures! Its making my aims of 200rwkw 3tgte build look even more promising Well done!

Whats the specs on your engine?

87mm Wiseco ceramic coated forged pistons w/floating pins
Bronze guided little ends
ARP rod bolts
NDC bearings throughout
JMR head stud kit
O ringed cylinder head
Copper head gasket
JMR intake plenum with RB30E 53mm throttle body
Mazda 620cc injectors
Custom exhaust manifold
CT26 turbo (recently re-coed)
Coil packs and ignitors (M&W)
JMR Crank trigger disc and CAS mounting bracket

235kw atw on 104 octane fuel 22psi

i didnt realise a ct26 turbo was any good. But that is an awsum power figure.

Ok i went out for a run a couple of weeks ago to eastern creek and screwed the boost to abbout 18psi to set a base on what the car runs and a starting point to move forward from.


I never for a second thought it would run a 12.5 first pass (i even missed second gear cause i shit my self when it hooked up so well )

We then proceeded to the pits with the obvious thought of "let screw some freaking boost into this thing!!!!!" 24psi later i lined up, did a burnout and fried the...Spark plugs

So with a little dismay i packed up still happy with a mid 12 set off to get a good tune in this car ( i never had it tuned as i plugged it in and just drove it)

I sent the car off to Paul @ PULSE racing who dynoed my current setup at a healthy 254hp atw and suggested we use a "decent" fuel and put some timing into it, i left it in his good hands.

ANZAC day i got the call your car is ready!!! WWOOOOOTTTTTT, well how did it go i said? 315HP atw !!!! on 104 octane fuel and 22psi im freakin stoked and just want to go pick it up!!!!

I will do my very best to be at the creek on wed night to break down that 11sec wall!!!!!

This is the one off a 7MGTE not the 3SGTE ( afaik they are different )

If you wanna know how fast it will actualy go Just do what I do and John did, Let Jason peddle it for you You got some slicks for it ?? I have been waiting for you to post this up since I gottha call from Jason last week. Looking forward to seeing your graph.

I seriously cant believe you havnt sold your engine!!! If anyone wants to know how good they are to drive as most of the power is delivered so early in the rev range it amazing thats its an old 8 valve engine!!!! Jason has already threatend me with a "if you cant run XXet than ill fuckin do it my selff HA HA" i only have the ET STREETS mickey thompsons 235/15" they will have to do for now as im so farkin strapped for cash now.

Cheers, im using a WOLF3d V3 which is nice and cheap but is in no doubt capable!!!

howly crap man that is impressive. Ive just got my engine built with very similar specs for my ke20. Hopefully i can make the ponies you have.

I drove it back from menai to blacktown today which is about 50km or so and man that thing is a weapon on the street could only get traction in 4th and 5th with the 14's on there
