a super charger? ha ha.
Does anyone know if a 22re has had a sc14 attached to it, what would be needed for the process.
a super charger? ha ha.
I think i've read about someone in the us doing this b4 or maybe it was turbo.

you would need brackets to mount the SC, pulleys (spare section on crank pulley? longer belt and altered path of stocker?), and piping..... IC would be good.
it' s a little small for big performance, but should be able to get sayyy 6-8psi for the revs the R is likely to use... make it more torquey but worth the effort?

phobia on these forums has a 22rTe its succesful to a point, the head being the limiting factor if I remember correctly.
I suggest giving him a PM and checking with him as to whats easy/worth it. Thats what this forum is here for, to learn from others mistakes, I mean experience![]()

Use USA ebay and buy some forged "turbo" pistons for cheap, with the standard 22R-E head it will make 9.0:1 compression ratio, perfect for low boost.
All the information you need is on google (as posted above), as its been done many times before in the usa.
Good luck.

IMO it's a great idea if you want a super-torquey engine for towing stuff in your Hilux, but if you're after performance it's a crap idea.
Mechanically setting it up is pretty straightforward (but not necessarily easy), do as described above. I'd recommend decent engine management if you want to get the best out of it, even just a $1000 Microtech would be a huge improvement over fudging the stock management.
