Yep, a little disappointing there, considering we're actually having it at a Victorian track. We might as well have made it at Wakefield which would have been a lot more convenient for the QLD-ers - quite a number of which I reckon will still make the trek even though it's about 20hrs from their area.
So what's the excuse this time?![]()

Andrew,
mate dont panic it will be alright! as for tyres whatever goe's, you can use street , semi slicks, slicks etc. so long as there safe..

full slicks !! should make it street legal tyres,
there isnt going to be a lot of rules, so long as your car passes scrutinrearing and you obay the flags! if your in a slower car and your holding others up pull off the racing line and let them go. all of this type of stuff will come out in the drivers bref on the day. as for tyres people an use road tyres or race tyres as you racing the clock any way. some people will want to chuck slicks on and see how quick they can go..

Ok, how about this - slicks can be run on the day, but laps completed on non-street legal rubber will not be counted towards the final lap battle. I think this is fair considering many won't have access or available funds for full slicks and, really, it would be an unfair advantage.
Other than that, it's up to every driver to do whatever they can within their means to be the quickest on the day.
