    Default 1UZ twin turbo

hey guys chasing some info on twin turboing a 1UZ

Basically i know anything can be done with enough money, but i was wondering if anyone knows of any1 selling turbo manifolds for the 1UZ or complete turbo kit setups for them.

Im seriously looking at building one for my JZA80, but it would be nice if i could buy bolt on items pre made, such as manifolds, oil line setups etc etc

    Any info would be great

Or if Justin would like to sell me his out of hit GT8 that would be fine too

    Cheers

There is a guy on the supra forums (vassili) who's father tt'd a 1uz. I think he made his own manifolds. He is from qld.
You could probably contact him to make you some.

Cheers guys i will check em out.

I've done some more research and been to see some people and gone through measurements etc, it appears it will be very very tight if i got twin turbo (if i want the turbs anywhere near the heads anyway) went to see a mate that single turboed a jza80 with 1uz and they mounted it in front of the engine, due to plenty of room in there. its a bit laggy but comes on hard and is currently making around 700hp.

Anyway looks like i will end up supercharging it, just looking for the best condition soarer 1UZ halfcut then it will all start happening

    Cheers

I think Oldcorollas mathematically proved 2 SC14's wouldn't do shit

I think it was 5psi by 4000rpm, and causing a restriction by 6000rpm

matty your nuts, you really are ! lol i swear i gotta get conversion lessons of you or something. stuff the sc14s nd go for an eaton charger. then again you still cant beat the rush of a turbo.

http://www.v-eight.com/tech_forum/index.php theres plenty of info there, mate got a fair bit of info in there for his kit car with a 1uz.

well he better tell the guy that runs two sc14's joined together on top of the 1uz in a open wheeler that revs to 10k and has had the setup for many years and its mighty fast, that he is mathematically wrong!
He got the rear and front housings machined so they are joind together and run of the one pulley.
He had pretty good lap times of Oran park with the above setup in club events from memory.
