I imagine whiteline could sort you out![]()
Hey all I’ve had to cut my original sway bar off my KE30 so the sump of the SR would fit and I was wondering if anyone knows of a place that could make a custom one for me.
Cheers

Yeah Thanks for that i emailed them and will find out hopefully on monday
Interested to hear how you go - i might need to do the same, running a CA in a ke20

They emailed me back today and said. “We are able to make custom sway bars, however we will need you to provide either a sample in which we can use as a model for the size and shape, or we will need a very detailed drawing providing all necessary dimensions.
All custom sway bars are non-returnable and we are unable to guarantee the outcome, as we are only making them to your dimensions.”
Can't you take the car there?

I can’t see why not. I think they said that so they don’t have any responsibility if it fails. I will ask them and see what happens.
White line said ‘‘Unfortunately, Due to our very busy R&D schedule, we do not have time to carry out the work on custom sway bars. As our workshop is used for R&D purposes, it is always tied up with development vehicles for days at a time.
The manufacturing of custom sway bars is not a problem as this doesn't effect the R&D schedule, it is looked after by the manufacturing side of the company.
Therefore we are unable to do all of the work for you in regards to measuring and developing the sway bar as required. This is the reason I have mentioned that in order for us to make a custom sway bar, you would need to provide us with either a sample or detailed drawing to work off," Fair enough I guess not to hard to make a drawing or template.
Maybe try pedders , i was going to buy a custom one for my KE25 especially to suit a 4AGE conversion of a guy that said he got it made by pedders , unfortunatley he sold it to someone else .
if you do go to pedder let us know how you go cause i may be looking for a sway bar soon aswell .

No KE series corolla needs a custom sway bar to fit a 4A engine, anyone who does must have the engine mounted in a ridiculously forward position - I even fail to see how people could do that as it would then start fouling on the steering drag link behind the cross member.Originally Posted by RO11LR
K-series engines = front sump, 4A series engines = front sump and not significantly bigger either.
SLO-70Y, any chance you can get hold of a stock sway bar that isn't cut and then just show them the section of the bar you need altered to fit on the new bar to clear the sump.
Maybe, friend of mine has a KE30 so I will ask him if I can borrow his and I will give Pedders a ring as well, see what they can do for me.
Kmac should be able to sort you out?
KE38 - 2TG
MS65 - 1UZ
K-MAC, they will make it as fat as you want, $220.
Spend a little more and you might jsut be able to make the old rolla take corners too!
