    total, about 405 grams

the pins are also 4mm wall thickness... i reckon you could take that down a bit

Mick, are the JE, ROss and wiseco all including pins? or no pins??

Depends on how hard you wana push the engine with the pin thickness. I have herd from a few people now that the STD GZE pins can clean break and that i should look into some thicker ones.

I have had quite a few of the different smallport NA 4AGE and both the GZE's apart over different times.
The AE92 Smallport GE and AED92 Bigport GZE do have different and stronger looking rods to the later 20V and smallport GZE's, but all this talk about piston weight,

What about rod weights? I runn the silvertop 20V ones in my turbo engine.

In fact me good race engine is standard S/Hand low mileage silvertop 20V,
pulled down and fitted with AE101GZE pistons and rings, and standard genuine toyota Rod Bolts and Head studs, so the whole engine is 100% genuine toyota parts.

Makes 204KW at the wheels and is reliable as anything. Has completed a whole season of racing and get a very hard time as can be seen in some of these,

I have done a few conversions, and by far the easiset and best way to Turbo anything AE92 smallport or later is to stay with the engine you have, fit larger injectors, and wire an aftermarket ECU to the original loom.
That way there is not a lot of wiring to be done,
you can use your original alt. p/steer and brackets etc etc,
and save a lot of the wee hassles you always get fitting a different engine into the car.
You dont realise how many different types of brackets there are in all the different 4AG series engines untill you have to go searching for the one you need to fit your project.
