    Default 4agze belt

    Hi guys,

I want to get a new belt for my ze. The one that run the crank ->waterpump -> supercharger. I can't quite make out the part numbers on the belt as most of it been rubbed off I think its 5PK345 can anyone confirm this? Also how tight is the belt meant to be?

    Thank you

    Howdy,

The belt i just pulled off my 'ze was a 5pk955.

As for the tension, 'tight'. If it slips (you'll hear it squeal), do it tighter There's a fancy shmancy way of measuring tension involving straightedges, I'm unsure of details.

    Hope that helps.

    Cheers, beak

The belt should be able to be twisted 90 degrees with some difficulty on the longest straight section of the belt. Another handy tip to check the tension

Thanks guys, would you happen to know the numbers for the other belt too? the one that run crank -> alternator -> aircon compressor? I think I'll just replace both of them while I'm at it.

Mine is back on the car, far away, so i can't check it. it was pretty similar in size to the s/c belt though. The length depends on what ancillaries you have, too. (i think)

Just try the s/c belt when you get it, and go longer/shorter to suit. There's a bit of adjustment in the idler.

The number on the belt is the length in mm.

It's fairly easy to work out what you need.
