Melbourne put on a nice warm day for us today, so I thought that I'd go down to Calder Park wearing a shirt that I was already wearing... Big mistake!

    The wind was freezing!

Quite a few runs and a couple of smiles from very pleasing times was how it was a couple of hours into the evening...

(Guys, please PM me if times are incorrect)

Eddie's (shelldrake) best recorded time was a 15.9 in his Blue 2T/3T Hybrid powered TA22 Celica...
Jesse's (PlacentaJuan) best recorded time was a 13.7 @ 111.87 mph in his Red 2JZ-GTE powered MX83 Cressida...
Daniel's (Hurricane) best recorded time was a 15.9 @ 87.16 mph in his Green 3T-C powered KE20 Corolla...

It seemed that everyone was pleased... But, later on things took a turn for the worse! (As they tend to do)

On Eddie's (shelldrake) final run, he stuffed his clutch whilst changing between 3rd and 4th, which saw an end to the evening...

Now to stop the picsorban posts!

    thanks simon, awesome photos!

i was pretty happy with the day, got in 6 runs before it got packed, although 13.7 was my best run i was hitting speed limiter on every run (fastest run being 111.8 mph which is nearly exactly 180km/h).

my el cheapo 'regal' tyres were holding me back quite savagely and i couldnt put down more than half throttle in first gear without big wheelspin, so hopefully with better tyres i will be looking at 12s!

thanks alot for joining me at the drags, it would have been gay if i was on my own!

    toymods ftw!

No worries Jesse, (did I spell your name right?)

I was more than happy to spectate and entertain your wife... I know that I'll be down there one day in my RA28 and I hope that there'll be somebody I know watching on!

I have updated my previous post to include your mph...

Eddie, can you please PM your mph for your best run?

What's this about Eddie stuffing his clutch? I was just talking to a mate of mine and he told me that Marcus (Turdinator) has rooted his clutch too. What have those two been doing hmmm? Too much practising for the drags were we?

I gave him a lift and he organised a tow-truck to pick it up this morning...

Just heading around to give him a hand with fixing it now...

    Simon u sly dog u.......

Dunno what time u guys stayed till but if u stayed near the end you would have seen a brand spanking new $80 000 GTO with 2k on the clock smash into the wall (i would definentaly hate to be that bloke). He was bout half way down the track when he started fishtailing and lost it, ended up smashing the front left and left side of his car up pretty good; story goes he switched off traction controll and lost it.... a bad way to lose $80 grand. The guy was fine but i can't say much for his car....

    Pics cummin soon
