Never mind, went to the workshop to check it out. it's 3/4![]()
Hi all,
Cant seem to find any info on this on the net and I don't have my car here to measure. Just wondering if anyone knows the thread size of a 7MGTE oil filter? I'm trying to find a sandwich plate with built in thermostat for my full flow oil cooler setup and I've found a couple, but I really need to know the thread size before I buy.
Cheers

yep I just had this issue to Matty.
Freaked me out imperial thread on a jap car
ST177 UZS131 Crown Royal 'G' the pimping limo like daily 1UZFE 144rwkw
DST17T MS53 68 Crown Custom Wagon 7MGTE 266rwkw
You'd be suprised at how many imperial threads there are on a Jap car, i've come across probably 3 now on my MA61. Can't remember where they were though.

Working on old Mazdas is perilous, half of em are metric and half imperial. I replace as many as possible with metric jobs as I go.You'd be suprised at how many imperial threads there are on a Jap car, i've come across probably 3 now on my MA61. Can't remember where they were though.
That said I've owned 10+ Toyotas from mid 70's onwards and don't recall a single imperial fitting.
Must.... avoid.... urge... to... upgrade... parts I haven't.... used.... yet.....
