Hey board, I got a mate who just signed up to the forums, nickname - ToyT18.
His account was approved & activated, but can only get into tech & conversions & membership & feedback, everything else is marked as private. Also doesn't have permissions to post anything.
??
Any help would be good.

That means his acount hasn't been approved yet. He has the same access as anyone who hasn't signed up. He'll get a confirmation email to put his sign-up into the queue for approval and once it's approved he'll get an approval email to let him know.

No, there should be an email with a confirmation link that he has to click in order to be given access to the forums.

Hmm... Not sure? Maybe tell him to email the Board using the email address that he used. That'll be enough of a confirmation for me that the email address exists.

Ahh so thats where we went wrong.. When first setting it up we used his girlfriend katie's email address - then realised it was wrong.
So went back and registered again with the [email protected] address..
Thats the address the validation email went to also.
