Another Mikey conversion. Ideas welcomed.

Plan is to stick 1FZ into Falcon (somehow!), add a reasonable amount of boost, and see what happens. Most likely choice of diff will involve a considerable lump of a little less than 10 inches. Gearbox is where it is interesting, however. Do I attempt to adapt a C6, do I attempt to use A340, or has someone got a better idea that's compeletely skipped my mind? Any ideas relating to the whole project are welcomed, and believe me, despite appearances, I actually have a stronger dislike for Falcons than anybody else around here!

I dunno about bothering with the A340 man. I wouldn't expect that to last very long with the sort of torque you'll be producing.

Good idea I reckon

Gearbox choice depends on what you want it to be used for I reckon. Sean's A340e is holding up quite well. However, if it is for pure speed I would be looking at a non electronic box with a transbrake and manual valve body. t400, glide maybe?

powerglide or turbo400 would be the go! Marks conversions might have adaptors for it!

That aint a stock 'box though is it Chris? I'm not sure... I was under the impression that A340s don't take too well to that sort of power when stock, which is what I'm assuming ol' Shinny Boy here is talking about.
