I can't say for certain yet as I still have my circuit connected, but since changing my auto gearbox yesterday, I don't seem to have this rev limit issue anymore...

Perhaps it's an issue within the box itself, rather then the ECU. I know Placenta had it solved by fitting the supra ECU, but I 'think' I've solved the issue by changing the auto gearbox, so one that has a slightly different selector switch on it to the one I removed.

I've also noticed the new gearbox is smooth as silk when compared to how the last one used to thump in to gear from 1st-2nd...

Interesting, talking about the speed sensor. It turns out the auto box still does the limit...

I'm gonig to revisit this soon, although my current circuit works fine, I want to fix the 'cause' not band-aid..

Thats annoying , we might have to scope the signals from the engine ecu to the traction ecu , i cant see how not having the traction ecu connected could cause this kickdown problem, maybe just a fault code .

is this problem with the aristo 2jz because you are using a cressida box or does it happen if you use the motor and box from the aristo

I'm using FULL aristo factory gear. I lifted it from teh aristo cut, box, loom, ecu and all and placed in my car.

It appears to be an aristo realted issue, but only a few aristo's exhibit this behavior.

I'll be sourcing and trying a supra ECU next week to try and fix it.

Update:- Supra ECU has solved this issue.. I'll be removing my 'bandaid' some time this week as the car now doesn't exhibit this lower rev limit anymore...

There must be a better fix then needing to change to to a Supra ECU though.

^heh, i was going to suggest this again but you did it.

i finally pulled out my old tps circuit the otherday. now i am going back to ttc mode, that while is a lot laggier it will be more fuel freiendly and this rev limiter thing also seemed to be a lot worse in ttc mode.

how much did you get a supra ecu for?

i might have to buy another one before all the aristo front cut converters wise up and the demand sends the prices up....

I paid $100 for it... So have a couple of Aristo ECU's for sale at $100 each

I have thought about getting another one, but then again CBF'd

I'll be pulling the circuit from my TPS very soon also, and it will go back to being a FCD for the GF's Aristo

How did we go boys , can we confirm from any more aristo owners if the standard cars do the rev limit thing .

My GF's aristo will be here today By end of week I should be able to tell if a stock aristo does this also.

I don't know if I can be bothered 'testing' my spare Aristo ECU in it to see if it does it though. PITA to get at the ECU's in the passenger side footwell.

And its a pain in da ass to keep checking where the rev limit happens, nailing the 2j seems to allways break the law .
My bet if the standard aristo doesnt do this is the TRC comuncation in all the other cars.
Bmw , is yr girl buying a aristo , what yr , model etc
