    Ok,

First of all its my 20th in 11 days...w00t w00t!!

And as a result the following car parts where kindly bought for me by my GF....thanks!!

Ok, after only 2 mins in the wreckers i had located a RA60, yeah baby still had the dizzy and igniter and coil..., after looking around more i found a complete 22RE in a corona..
ended up asking about the dizzy in the RA60 and got it for $20....BARGAIN....Good bye points, HELLLOOOO electrical stuff...haha

Here is a few pics of the inside

And here is the Coil and igniter piggy backing on top!,
There is one long wire with a green plug that plugs into the plug coming from the dizzy, and there is 2 green plugs on the igniter that where connected to something else, do i need them?

    To O Man RA23,
i got a pic of my 18r dizzy still in the car atm,, is this the correct one to use, if not can you point out on the pic if possible what has to be different, thanks mate

That one looks like it might even work. The bit where the wire goes through the side of the dizzy needs to be cut out (see the 21R dizzy), but it seems like it has the right kind of vacuum mechanism.

Oh, and its my 25th in 3 days

    G'Day mate,

The plug which goes between the ignitor and dizzy is the reluctor signal wires, connect them as per factory.

The other two plugs would provide a Ignition +12V to the ignitor and the other would most likely be for the tacho signal.

there would have been 3 wires going to your coil previously, there is a solid black one, which is the tacho, and 2 others. One goes to each end of the ballast resistor, and then one end of the ballast resistor has a wire which goes to the coil+. The one which does not loop off to the coil + is the one to use, as this is wired to the ignition part of the ignition barrel, the other is wired to the start part of the ignition barrel. As for the two on the coil, there should be one which is either black/yellow or black/red. This goes to the ignition, the other goes to the tacho. The one coming from the ignition should be black/yellow from memory, but best to check.
