hi guys,

1ggte gen3 question

i have two wires which i cant find pinouts for on my gx81 body plug

no.15 is violet with green trace
no.11 is black


anyone happen to know what theyre for?

8,9,10 and 14 matched the wiring diagrams, so i have sorted them out

EDIT: upon closer inspection, i think i need the ECT section of the wiring diagram for a 1ggte gen 3. Already have the EFI section but it does not have the pinouts for 11 and 15. my 1jzgte wiring diagram had EFI and ECT section so i could check all pins

Anybody have pinouts for the plug found on some GZ20 Soarers (gen 3?) which is located behind the glovebox, it's similar to the one found on MX83's and JZA70's but has 5 extra wires. Here's a pic of how I remember it.

also needing the pinouts for this plug for a gen3 1ggte

the colours do not match for the gen1/2 wiring diagrams

You can run a Gen3 engine on a Gen2 ECU and loom, but you'll need the injectors (and ballast resistor), and you'll need the different coolant temp sensors. Everything else is pretty much plug and play.

Ok I got a 1GGTE gen3 with manual ECU for celica conversion project which has been put on hold at the moment ... I have changed my my plans and wan stick it into a 1986 Soarer which already has a 1GGTE gen2 with auto ECU. The gen2 engine has requires the cylinder head to be repaired hence I want use the gen3 engine for the time being while I slowly rebuild the other. Regarding your above comments for Gen2 injectors and Ballast resistor being used with a gen3 engine running off a gen2 ecu and loom

Can I just pull the injectors off my dead gen2 and use them on the gen3? Also will the gen2 engine setup already have a ballast resistor I can just use with the gen3? or do I need to get an aftermarket ballast resistor? if so what brand/model do you recommend?

I am hoping I can mix and match between the two to get the gen3 running with loom and ecu from the gen2 engine..

A lot of these docs, pics and attachments are long dead, maybe we could revive this thread and post up the docs that we've all got squirelled away? A lot of it would be really handy for those of us doing the 1ggte conversion.

Hey Guys,

Didn't really know where to post this but so pardon me in advance

Was redoing my GA70 engine harness and cause I'm just one smart lil shit, I forgot to take photos of the process and thus did not know where one of the starter cable goes. The cable in question is a crimped connection.

Prior to redoing it, the ECT plug starter wires had been cut into to power a relay that went into the body harness.

Any help is appreciated. Andy still awaiting the diagrams.
