Acctually... no... The one i was looking for (VSV) wasn't on there... but I might have found the answer elsewhere... I think it mean Vacuum Switching Valve?

And what is the FPU? Fuel Pressure Up? How is that a component? Just about the ICSV on my schematic is a FPU...

    Hey all,

    I've got 2 Q's for all the 1GGTE ECU guru's.

    1.

I have recently purchased a 1GGTE, came with most everything + Loom, but minus an ECU.

I have Since sourced an ECU that suits the loom but am still confused as to what Gen the motor is and weather the ECU is suited to the motor.

I was told it was a Gen 2, being that it has yellow injectors, but when I cross reference the loom plugs with the 1GGTE Gen 3 ECU pin outs sheet, the plugs are the same. Is this because the loom and the ECU plugs are the same between Gen 2 and 3?

    2.

The engine above mentioned, is going into my Factory manual GA70 / 1GGEU.

The ECU that i have is an auto, I was wondering as my supra is a factory manual will I need to Bridge the neutral switch? or if there is anything I need to do?

    Cheers Fisher

Check the part number on the injectors.

Pic gen3 ecu and gen2 below.

    Noted earlier advice that

You can run a Gen3 engine on a Gen2 ECU and loom, but you'll need the injectors (and ballast resistor), and you'll need the different coolant temp sensors. Everything else is pretty much plug and play.

Not sure that this correct as if I recall the TPS and the Idle control differ and the connectors are very different.

    Cheers Craig

Anybody have pinouts for the plug found on some GZ20 Soarers (gen 3?) which is located behind the glovebox, it's similar to the one found on MX83's and JZA70's but has 5 extra wires. Here's a pic of how I remember it.

Vash I noticed that pinout chart you posted is not complete, the pinout translations that is. Such as CCO for example is not listed in the table and others.

Also yes the TPS Connector has more wires on the Gen 3.

so can anyone tell me what length 1g conrods are, what comp height 1ggte/ze pistons have, and the deck height of 1g's?
been searching for ages but cant find anything, except conflicting reports about 1g conrods being either 133mm, or 130mm (no definative proof which though)

    Cool.. i like this question...

don't know if this will help..
    1G-GE = 9.0 : 1
    1G-GTE = 8.5 : 1
    1G-GZE = 8.0 : 1

I noticed the wiring diagrams posted at the beggining of this thread have the 4 wire TPS.

    http://img157.imageshack.us/img157/3...ecusht2jq1.jpg

My TPS has 8 Wires. Does anybody have the Diagrams for the Gen 2's 1g-gte's which I believe had the 8 Wire TPS?

    Thanks.

ive never seen a "8 wire TPS"

you must be looking at the wrong sensor.
