After having my starter motor refurbished, my car starts better than just about anything else I've heard on the road, even newer cars. This would be my number one suggestion to anyone having starting problems, but I don't know a whole lot about the other things that can affect it, just about all the things listed above sound viable

SO I came home this afternoon, pulled out my Corona XT130 repair manual bought for $15, and thought I would try my hand at removing the starter motor........................Great manual, it tells you how to remove it in 5 steps..............Only it's impossible to get to the bolts mounting it onto the block So I had managed to get the battery lead disconnected off the starter before I decided to try and check on other things first, so.........

I ripped one carburettor out, and the next plan from here was to buy one of those rebuild kits from repco, spend some time learning about carburettor's and eventually move on to the next possible, the distributor.

just replace all servicables in the ignition system and tune it well
my ke70 will start with just a jab of the key, no questions asked.
its all about being well maintained

/\/\ Yep I plan on doing all of that, it's an old car and I figured I would get a lot of these major things out of the way while it is sitting in my backyard unregistered.
