    The choice is clear.
We all have to neg rep oldcorollas and river before they break the database with numbers too big.
Sorry old pals, but you have to take one for the team.

    pussy flavoured ?
sour pussy and cream flavoured it appears
perhaps i can cash mine in for a toymods cap ( medium please )
the problem with users having to larger rep is that new forums members these days climb the rep tree ALOT quicker then most of the other users had to. Therefore is a misrepresentation.

    true that jorrs,
maybe even if u cap the amount of rep people can give to say somewhere between 5-10 then we wont have people giving like 20 rep points jsut for positive rep
    just another suggestion

It would be good if you could select how much rep(pos/neg) to give that person.

it definitely would.. and i would also support a capped rep thing...

hmm... perhaps admin could move people who get x amount of rep power (like 20), into a new user bracket... like... a mod, but without modding powers, although rep still probably goes up for them anyway?
anyway.. a max amount of rep power seems like a good thing methinks...

What about having type of rep level for example...

    0-500 = level 1
    500-1000 = level 2
    1000-2000 = level 3

and this could be reflected by our avatar name (backyard mechanice = level 2 or level 15 = godmode etc)

i think a small level would be better rather than figures that show how much/little rep you have exactly recieved. This way there would be no judgements or competitions etc

    my small 2c contribution

im over the rep system to be honest.

once someone exceeds 800, they should just get a title as "worthy member"

its really irrelevant what rep a person has after 500 odd

and to simplify things, all the "worthy members" can give out 2 rep and everyone else 1

although ill assume this (and other ideas) cant be done since your vbulletin code isnt open source

I wonder what it would be like if just under your rep you had a post count as well??? That would be an interesting ratio......
