has been done in a previous thread....

    wasn't Rona on top???

anyway, my suggestion for the day is that all posts ending with hahahahahhahaha lmao should automatically get neg rep

rep is only to prevent noobs from making a mess of themselves.. any people who are worth having long term will understand what it is about.

those that get all uppity about it... meh...

my my my how times have changed in just 6 months

some things i think should be discussed (re-visited)
    1. no rep in Non car discussion
    2. people with high rep shoul be able to pick how much

yeah i agree with the puzzl0r, i propose that rep is only allowed to be given to posts in the tech section.

most of my rep has come from making smart arse comments and i dont feel i really deserve it as i havent been contributing to the tech section as much as i used. ive been out of touch with the scene for a few years now so most tech questions pass me by.

i think only allowing Rep in the Tech sec and also General car talk, as you will find useful information passes through their regularly.

It should be allowed in the general car talk section as well....Not everyone is a tech genius so dont have anything to contribute to the tech section of the forum. That would leave them stuck on 10points for all eternity and no doubt would leave people feeling 'left out'.

I think that rep should also be allowed in the Member's Rides section, as you will get people providing technical advice to somebody's problems that have been reveled in the Member's Ride threads...

didnt think people really cared about the rep system this much - i know who are helpful people in the community without having to see their rep points - i still think its pointless to the stage where i thjink ive only given out about 3 rep points

I've found an add-on for vbulletin 3.6 that allows you to select the number of rep points you wish to give (upto to the max ur allowed to give).
    Here's the link:

I think this could solve the problem of peoples' reputation growing rapidly from getting positive rep by people with very large rep points.

A lot of good posts here... I would like to see the selectable rep happening, and perhaps at this stage of the game, the 30 rep for priveleges could be raised up?? I can put somebody on that in one go if I wanted... and if they provide a good technical post (or good question) then I have no option but to do so.

Also I will swap ya 1000 rep for a puppy Pommeranian crossed with Silky Terrier if you would please.

ive been shot down hard before for my honest criticism of the system but possibly also having the rep reasons visible (like ebay feedback form) would be advantageous so people could see what youve been positive or negatively repped for. this could validate the worth of rep gained by one person as there would be an actual reasoning.

might be a little off topic for this thread but a trader rating (like supraforums etc) would be very helpful as ive found myself being ripped off on several occasions through this board.

although i realise there is the factor of buyer beware its misleading as people will trust the board in its intirety with all of its members inclusive .
