We had a blast! I'm looking forward to next year already. Christian said I can enter the drags next year, so we will be organising a baby sitter. Ally was good, but the days were a bit long for her & she fell asleep at dinner, poor thing.
Kirsty, I hope you guys are going next year, then we can both enter the drags & slaughter the guys times!!

River, that commodore had a 1JZGTE engine.

We had a great time, thanks to Grant, Dave, Darnay (sp?) and company for organizing another top notch weekend.

We (I am never alone) managed to screw together a reliable race car for the weekend and put it into #1 Qualifier position. I am elated that we managed this because it was not expected. The Corolla turned a best of 7.53 (0.38sec better than last year), showing that small manifold pipes are not so stupid.

Special (because they're special ppl) thanks to Andrew, Joe, Joey, Craig, Matt and their respective crews, you guys are great sportsmen and are an absolute pleasure to be in competition with.
    YelloRolla's KE20 1/4mi = 11.32 @ 119mph @ 22psi on slicks
    12.44 @ 113 mph on 165 wide street tyres
210rwkw - not bad for a smelly 3TGTE running pump fuel.

    What an awesome weekend !

Next year will hopefully be without the boys so Kirsty can have some more fun. Kudos to Grant, Danae and Dave for putting on a great event and keeping the nationals alive.I can't wait to see the turn out for Next years event. Toyota's 50th aniversary should be a big deal.

As always the Drags were a wicked event. Jason and Kylie both managed to dominate the competition in Grandma's Corolla. Jason taking outright honours, being quickest on the day.

I did ok in practice but managed to stuff up and slam the rev limiter in my first heat. Ahh well thats racing and at 10.47 I think I may have beaten the best time for a certain 1JZ powered sedan Maybe next time the ladies should drive.

My weekend memories are similar to Homer Simpson's memories of a party they once had. Black & white footage of myself charming everyone with the recital of witty intellectual anecdotes, sipping a fizzy fermented beverage, then a strange period of "missing footage".
Then the flashbacks of burning guitars, r/c cars & Witzls, sour mentos & shots of tequila, schnapps and Canadian Club, highly sexual semi assembled 1UZ's, hilarious pics of random medical conditions and injuries, stepping on Josh's head more than once (who sleeps on the floor of the party room?!?!), prodding a messy and eager to sleep stitt with half a beach umbrella and then combating the worlds worst hangover with a big mac breakfast and a ride in a certain 2JZ MA61 at warp factor 40 billion.

Unfortunately I was licence free this year, so was unable to bring my pair of toyotas, so some last minute arrangements had me flying in to Sydney on Thursday arvo, hitching a ride in the quickest car of the weekend there & back (huge thanks to Jason, and Kylie & Johnnie) and claiming sleeping area in the fabled room 206. And due to my lack of car I found myself with ample time to partake in some beverage consumption, which has left me with rather poor memory retention of the ensuing nights.

However the standard of cars everyone who was in attendance was witness too provided some serious motivation for me to return home & get stuck into my cars for next year. And a year will only just be enough time to have my vehicle/s any where near the standard that was displayed this year, my hat goes of to all the cars that were there. Also a big thanks to the organisers, once again the weekend ran smoothly & there seemed to be no major problems of complaints.
Can't wait to see you all next year again!

I've shrunk these down a fair bit so hopefully they shouldn't slow the page loading times too much.

I had a really fun weekend with all you Toymoders. It was great to meet some of you folks whom have posted on these forums for years - I can finally put faces to names

I really enjoyed driving my car to and from Dubbo. Thank you to my other half who made me drive up to Mount Victoria so I could practice shifting down gears. Despite being shit scared I was going to drive off the mountain and take a few other cars with me, it really did help to build my confidence Thanks to Mos and Danny who also complimented my driving skillzz, saying that they couldn't tell I was a Learner in Manual

Maybe Kirsty, Nicola and Kylie will have another chick to play with at the drags in the Nationals next year Who knows! Though, the only person I'd be really keen to drag is my other half *Go Corollaz!!!*
