    Hi,

Okay, I just got back from the Nats. I was one of the pikers that could only stay for the Show & Shine. I left Sydney yesterday at 9:36am and arrived at the Motel at 3:20pm. Coming back I left today after the S&S at 1:15pm and got back at 7:55pm. I stopped in at Blackheath for an hour to have a drink with my brother-in-law and his lovely lady. Anyway... enough of that sort of stuff, here's the run down I can give you.

As I reversed out of the drive way to go I decided to put the radio on for a bit before the sound system with CD and MP3s. Alas, the power antenna wouldn't go up - wouldn't go down - wouldn't do shit. Okay, so I put in an MP3-CD, which played for about 20mins before going spastic. So, I just fed it normal CDs and it worked. But my 70's collection was on the MP3-CDs, so I was a tad miffed.

Up in the Blue Mountains the traffic turned to a crawl as holiday-driving mums & dads were totally clueless in how to merge and there were a couple of big hold ups as people got horribly confused when confronted with going from 2 lanes into 1.

After that the antichrist just cruised sweetly at a sedate 100kph - which is plenty fast enough for old man river. I was hanging for a piss at Katoomba but due to the local Maccas being so full there were cars blocking the road, I gave that a miss and hung on to Bathurst - where I got some food and had one of the most massive pisses of my life.

Cruised nicely to Orange where I decided I better put some petrol in the car and I spied a BP (the antichrist only drinks Ultimate), and howdy-doody, there were a bunch of Toyotas all filling up. I had met up with the famous Toymods convoy. Oh, about 10ks before Orange I saw a white KE70 parked on the side of the road and wondered if it was a Toymods casualty. Indeed it was. It blew its diff.

Anyway, the convoy said I can slot in with them. Cool, I thought, a nice leisurely cruise with the lads to Dubbo. Sweet! So, we left the petrol station, with Stitt taking point, Dave (ScreaminRolla) second, then me, then Alchemist, Whatthe, Witzl and Mad79r... and there were a couple of others (to whom I apologies if I cannot remember your name or nick - sorry). I'm old - gimme a break!

Leisurely cruise.... my fat fucking arse!!! Stitty with the titties (or Stitty who likes titties - I'm not sure which one it is 'cos I'm sure he likes titties, but he's also got man-boobs - so both titles are appropriate) - drove his poo-powered, trailer-towing white beast like it was a sprint race. He owned the road and all who was on it - except for a boofhead in a Landcruiser (more of him later).

Before I knew it, the 110+kph chimes were singing out their heart as I had to keep up with Dave, who had to keep up with the Stitt. We scared women and children, my wife and animals as we hurtled towards Dubbo. I got to admit I was a little worried being in the middle of a convoy full of turbo 6cylinder cars, but let me tell you, the mighty 18RG stuck in there and didn't lose any ground and ran like clockwork.

Now, as fast as we were going, there was a dickhead in a Landcruiser that went faster and he slowly overtook the convoy, one by one, at quite stupid speeds and with children in the car. I was moving up to tailgate Dave to make the bastard have to work hard to get past oth of us, but I sort of lost it when I saw Stitt try to take on a truck by overtaking in a right-hand turn bay. Mr Landcruiser came up beside me and saw there was oncoming cars and then just pulled in on me. Didn't miss me by much. But, this wasn't a personal thing 'cos he did the same to Dave. Then he tried it on Stitt who wanted to have some fun and accelerated to make sure Mr Landcruiser couldn't do anything but drive on the wrong side of the road beside him or get back. He went back, but he tried it again and Stitt let him through this time 'cos there's only so much tooling you can do with a dickhead.

So, we got into Dubbo, got to the motel and it was Toyota heaven. There were plenty of old school Celicas, Crowns, Cressidas, Soarers, Corollas.... crikey there was everthing and it all looked so good parked together.

I love the way that any piece of tar, big enough to park a car, becomes the Witzls defacto garage. He changed the oil, changed the oil filter, replaced his gearbox, re-aligned his diff and put on new underwear all within a couple of hours. It was like Macgyver - or should I say McWitzl, who can pull apart and re-assemble a vehicle with a spanner, a bit of wood and a LED torch. Toobs hung around Witzl as he worked. I asked if he was going to help Witzl - "Nah, fuck 'im" was Toobs reply. So, we drank beers and watched McWitzl do his stuff.

Stittie and something about titties, had to grab a car trailer and go back to pick up the busted KE70. Apparently Mos was coming up today with a spare diff and it was going to be fixed this arvo.

The night was cool, but the alcohol made it seem warmer and I went about the motel and checked out all the cars. The Canberra lads were there and they didn't look or act half as gay as everyone said they were . Nah, they were a good bunch of lads with some mighty fine machines. Mighty fine. They said that YLD is a funny bloke, but they were quite silent when I asked iof he was handsome.

I met Norbie for the first time in person. He's the elfen Toyota master from Brisbane and confirmed that Cool1 isn't that cool, or even that good looking after all. I noticed there were a lot of poo powered cars who's engine bays were full of 7Ms while the hapless owners were waiting for 18RGs to become available. Hang in there fellas....

A pretty-boy car tuned up in the evening on the back of a trailer. I dunno what it was.. a Soarer or something... I dunno... it didn't look like anything built before 1980 so it wasn't on the old man's radar. But, everyone told me it's so fast, so powerful, so wonderful that superlatives are inadequate to describe it's awesomness. Well, what I want to know is why would you bring the worlds most fastest, most awesome, most unbeatable car on a car trailer? Man, if it was me, I'd be ringing it's neck driving the bitch to Dubbo. It's like taking the worlds faster sprinter to the track and his starting block on a wheelchair. Anyway, each to their own and I'll be interested to hear how the worlds fastest, most awesome, most superlatived car goes in the drags.

We had some finger food for dinner. I fingered it a bit, but it didn't do much for me so I ate it instead. With a belly full of wine and some grub in my tummy I went about and ranconeerted with the various people. Good mob of guys and some very, very awesome machines. I made a point to rub myself over every car I could find. I was like a human divining rod.... instant soft on (5M)... medium-soft(7M)... withered (1G)... hmmm partial bone (2TG)... soft (V8)... semi-hard (3S)... medium bone (3T)... boner from hell (that's gotta be an 18RG!).

I was pleased to see the antichrist attracted a lot of attention. I just goes to show that no matter how big your engine, how much bling you bring to the table, despite exhaust pipes the size of the trans-Canadian pipleline, or turbos the size of jumbo-jet engines, an original JDM GT old school gets the testosterone flowing and makes the hair on the back of your scrote stand up.

Hehehe.. after many of us polished up our steeds and made them pretty for the next morning's Show & Shine, the clouds opened up and it pissed down on all our handy work.

I went back to my bungalow and cuddled up with Riverina. I was informed the next day that some shennaigans were afoot where Stitt broke his $5 guitar and then set fire to it. The charred remains were left in the rear alleyway, along with some singed hair from McWitzl who inappropriatly got his arm in the way when petrol was doused on the burning guitar to help put out the flames. I can asure you that McWitzl is okay, but the guitar will never strum another tune again.

The Hoff was there, and I gotta tell you, he' still the 2nd most handsome man in Toymods and I think he's bucking for the number one spot. Watch out Gold28, the Hoff is breathing down your alibaste neck for handsome Toydmods alpha male!!!!

Well, that's enough crapping on for the moment. I'll post up later the Show & Shine info and download my photos.
