GH sigma arms are slowly becoming a less popular option for AE86ers now. only due to the fact that with camber tops set all the way positive!! we still end up with 3 to 3.5* neg camber which is hardly streetable and causes a fair few tyre to guard clearance issues.

found the Corona XT130, RT132 and RA40 celica LCA's to be a good alternative. they are from memory just over 10mm longer than stock, which according to the measurements provided above are pretty much the same as our 86 arms.

best part being no mods required everything bolts up, normally ending up with around 2* neg camber and slight track increase.

not as extreme as GH arms, but still an option.

i would still choose sigma arms though!!! massif camber FTW!!!!!

there is the next set up you could use the later model simga lcas
the ones i am runing are 360mm i think it's gk not sure but this give you a massive track and camber if i recall at one stage i had something like 6.5neg degs then with the adjustable sturt tops its soming like 4.3 neg degs although i have never seen how much camber i can dial in with the adjustable sturt tops hmm

Gilly, I can relate to the tyre to guard clearance problems however some new smaller tyres and a smaller spacer should fix that. Good to know though as i didn't know you still get such massive camber with the adj strut tops all the way in!

I might have a look into the XT130, RT132 and RA40 LCA's one day and see what they are like.

Sam, 360mm GK arms... Thats insane! Heh, i might run them if i was looking at a custom race setup with really really flared gaurds. Heck i think 6.5 degrees of camber might be too much even for the track though. Good to know though still. Cheers!

I had a set of these in a KE35 IP car - with adjustable tops I had anything up to 7 degrees negative and from memory about 75mm increased track. That turned in quite well

Haha, cheers mate. We'll i'll be coming up north around the 20th of january and i'll be swapping my stock LCA's back in for the trip up the highway. So i'll bring them up then for you. Also check out suprawes's write-up on the AE86 T3 strut rods. They might be near $300aus landed but i reckon they'd be well worth it.

And guess what, i put a dam crack in my front bar tonight. About 10cm long, not happy dammit.

I refute that acusation. It wasnt back street, it was in my drive-way. Drive-way drifting, its a new thing

I was rolling my car back off some ramps and the front corner hooked on the top of the ramp and tore as i rolled down. Silly mistake.

Ouchies Yeah I know how much ramps can suck, they look easy in principle but I was nervous the first time I used mine for the fuel pump. So afraid of crusing off the end
