MA61 diff is already F series. There are a variety of LSD centres you can use in an F series diff - there's the factory 2-pinion clutch LSD, the Altezza/IS200 torsen LSD and the TrueTrac torsen LSD. I'd recommend the latter, it's much cheaper than the Altezza one and quite a few of us here are using them in MA61 diffs with good results.

It would pay to shop around on the Altezza centre, mine was only $280NZ so you might find a bargain.

    Aren't the MA61 diffs 1440mm?

I hope you don't like you're current rims... You're going to have to run FWD offset rims if that's correct...

From what measurement i made looking in to this with the rims ive got(suited for FWD car) i will have to roll the guards or it will scrape for sure. I machined up some spacers to match the width of
an RA65 to bolt on to the T series diff as a guide.
Just want to reduce my unsprung mass and improve traction and im not a big fan of the old live axel save them for 4WD's

not all lsd are the same obviously. some lsd may require axles to be shortened 5mm or so, mainly the factory toyota spring loaded clutch lsd which either have a big spring in the center (hilux lsd) or the two plates thru the middle pushed apart with 4 springs (T and F series).

have just measured an ma61 F series lsd and altezza torsen.. both are 150mm to the outsides of the side bearing shafts

Do plan on sticking with drums?

If you want to go discs, then find yourself an F Series from an MX13 Corona, as the ST141/RT142 disc brakes (from the live axle) are a direct fit...

Sure, you'll have to pay for the diff, but it'll be cheaper than getting some caliper adapters made up... (Unless you're a fabricator by trade)

But, the MS112 diff is 1450mm wide, where as the AE86 (S Series) is 1410mm wide ust like the MX13 diff... (Of course, that info you already knew as you have in in your Diff Database... )

I thought about sticking with the drums cuase the handbrake will bite better but i just couldn't stand seeing big ugly arse drums sitting in the middle of my 21'' chromies yo!
(that was a joke PLEASE don't think i was serious)

Nah i'm pretty handy but my dad IS a fabricator so i'm confidant we can make up some caliper brackets. I'll be doing a brake conversion before it goes in.

I probably woulda gone hunting for the MX13 diff had i known that but you know.. the price for the tarago one was right....
