GT30R was the turbo i used, even then if the gt3071r would spool 1000rpm ealier, you would then be making full boost at 4000rpm as apposed to my previous 5000rpm. I would still go with the gt2871r. It really is plenty for what you would want.Originally Posted by love ke70

They retail from $1200 for a 6 cylinder manifold. Only made in in mild steel. Stainless tends to be a little unreliable with the extreme heats of a turbo setup, as stainless tends to expand too much and crack more easily.Originally Posted by 1jzracing
Proper manifold bracing on the exhaust side headers and a brace for the wastegate provision will reduce the chance of that from occuring.
People that complain about cracking ebay stainless manifolds and such usually just have a bigass gate hanging off, with no bracing at all which causes it to crack over time.
stainless so it doesnt RUST when its wrapped in glass lagging!
im looking for light weight long branch stainless tube not a heavy steam pipe one
$1200 is way over the top!!

good luck finding one
theres that pretty external gate hks stainless one on ebay, been up for a while now
not much cheaper once u ship it here, and you have to do the external gate thing which will cost more
and mild steel in your exhaust track doesnt usually rust...

hes talking about wrapping it in the exhaust tape,....which i have been told does increase manifold life...increses rust.....Originally Posted by love ke70

also what have you guys done with coolant fitting for the 1g,
theres 2 out and 2 in, (2 out on the thermostat housing) and 2 just below behind the water pump,![]()
do you guys just block one of each of those fittings off? or are they too small to supply one larger turbo?![]()
cheers![]()
my turbos not water cooled so both mine are blocked off, and ive got no cooling issues![]()
cheers steve,

looking at the turbo i have the lines are about the size of one of the water lines, so i think it will be ok, if not im sure you could get a Y junction...

If you have a look at the pics on my website, it shows really clearly what I did.
Basically I put one of the outlets TO the turbo, and the other INLET out of the turbo.
THEN, I plumb the second inlet and outlet together, so they just flow out of one and back into the other without actually doing anythign.
cool bananas, all coming along well
what have people done with all the oil returns? just blocked off the second entry on a stock one?
