    Default Fattest KE10 rolla

    Hiya,
I've googled my fingers to the bone and still don't have a definitive answer on the heaviest version of the KE10 from factory....it would be awsome if there was some US luxury version that snuck OVER 800kg....anyone?

Stew, you would have to know

as far as i know.. 740kg...maybe 750.... 800 is pushing it
i will check the pics i took of old brochures at Amlux when they had the corolla exhibition...
you'd probably be wanting the SL coupe with aircon..... maybe 4 door with aircon if it was an option?

The weight comes off a factory brochure, not what the actual weight of the car is hence him wanting to know what the heaviest model was .
    If in doubt power out

I believe that you can recertify the weight of the car, especially if you get it blue slipped. Supply a weighbridge cert when getting it done and the new details can be put on the rego papers. Don't know if it's admissable for engineering foe engine swaps though.

The interesting one for me was when i re-registered my sprinter they wanted a tare weight for the pits so it could go on my rego label. Thats ACT rego too, so it would apply to you Justen.

Hmmm not so sure Takai, the engineer wants a factory spec figure so a post conversion figure won't cut it.

Pre conversion weight determines if the mod can be done. Post conversion weigh bridge ticket is for engineers papers and rego details.

Not like the old days where it didn't matter what your car weighed nor the capacity of the new engine and you just got a weighbridge ticket after the conversion was done

Ah, i must have come in under the 2nd one. Either that or its because the engine is still 1600

when i blueslipped my KE15 a long time ago, i had to get ticket, because the 15 was not listed on the engineers books... they had KE10 and KE16 tho.. just not the coupe...
but since the KE10 is known, it migth be hard to get away with another 80kg..

the NSW code of practice (and maybe the NCOP) has a weight for the KE10 corolla... at either 720 or 740kg

i had a look thru my pics from Amlux and no weights were listed
has a funny "aerodynamic" shot tho
