    The thread wasn't about whether or not I can do it or I should do it because this has been discussed before. It is something different that I haven't seen many people do (probably for good reason) but I wanted to see if it was possible and cheap just for the experience.

    Seriously, yes it can be done cheap if you can get a manifold/turbo and dizzy from an MTEU, but the $$ come when you have to fuel it. Aftermarket comuter for safety=$$.

    Keep the boost below 10psi and it will survive. Just.

    i plan on doing a 5mte to the soarer it'll cost me a 100 bucks all up keep the boost low and it should be right the bloke i brought the soarer off (dave) did the same convershion but on gas and it was lethal he tells me

    pffft aftermarket ecus just crack open the afm meter and give it a slight tune 5ms a dime a dozen

    it'll solve the fueling dramas the mteu's dizzy will solve the timing problem

    You're not going to find out if you like turbo's then. 5psi from a tiny turbo isn't even worth $1500 or whatever you were hoping to get this done for, let alone what it will actually cost.
