Default removing door trim - help please

    Hi

I have a broken window regulator and am trying to remove the door trim.

All the screws are removed but I can't get the plastic trim around the interior door handle off - any clues?

    thanks

    Steve

Have you tried sliding the handle out, the screw is only there to hold it in place.

Did you take the door handle out?

Not sure on your car, but normally undo the screws, pull/slide off to one direction, then you have to unclip the rods behind them that connect it to the locking mechanism

    thanks Dale

it is the door handle and the plastic trim around it that is stopping the trim from coming off the door.
There are no screws holding the handle or the trim to the door that are visible - thats why I posted the question.

    thanks

Get a picture of it, I'm sure someone on here will have seen something similar enough and be able to tell you how it comes off

draven u mean circlip ? isnt that on the window handles?

some of the handles clip into the trim so just push them forward a bit and they'll pop out.

yeh the circlips hold the window handles in place so all you do is use a flathead screwdriver and put it under the handle and either turn the handle (if you can) or just slide the screwdriver around

The trim is usually held into the door with pressure clips after the screws

slide a cloth under the handle instead of the screwdriver save marking the trims.
