You can get bleeders at top running front or rear by swapping the calipers side to side along with struts.

I think I should've jumped into this thread earlier!!!
There's a lot for me to add, so i'll just list them in point form
This is the RT132 stock brake setup:
- Reasons for the rumours about different hubs from XT130 to RT132 are to an extent true in my mind.... The RT132 uses the twin-opposed piston sumitomo calipers over a solid 10.5" disc, but the XT130 uses a single piston caliper on a 10.5" disc..... but, i have also seen the twin piston caliper on an XT130 wagon. The extra offset in the hubs would obviously be to clear this much thicker caliper. You can also use this twin-piston caliper on the Pug 604 discs, if you use spacers in the calipers. I've seen this done with good results as an alternative to the massive weight from the hilux calipers.
This is the MA70 1" master on my RA28, you only need to bend one brake line to make it fit:
- Reports are that the Hilux calipers are fucking heavy - how does the landcruiser caliper compare in weight??
- TA22 brake boosters do not have the same master cylinder bolt pattern as RA28 / RA23..... a common upgrade for the TA22 is an AE85 "tercel" master cylinder. MA61 master cylinder does NOT fit a TA22 booster, but it will fit an RA23/28 booster.
- The most common upgrades in master cylinders for RA28/RA23 is the MA70/JZA70 1" master, but also the UZS131 1" master will fit, as will virtually any hilux master cylinder (can buy new hilux 15/16" masters for under $200)
I think that's all i have to add for now.... until next time
- with regards to the talks about wheel bearings - wheel bearing kits are MUCH MUCH cheaper at CBC (consilidated bearing company) than they are from repco. Usually around $30 a wheel.

...... butt scratcher?!
yeah my arms are mounted down,
heres a pic from the inside,
and yes, i want to redo thise brake lines, make a complete braided line,![]()
if you use brake lines from a ra60 i think, they are perfect lengths. all flexible too. but new ones would be much better off. all connections same for a ke30, prob same for everything else.
i think all toyota brake connections are the same, but i know that the SKYLINE 4 pots fittings are differnt to toyota...Originally Posted by cuzzo

just incase anyone is using the skyline 4 poters
Some Toyota calipers use the nut like in your pic and some use a banjo fitting.Originally Posted by IN 05 NT

I believe I have an XT130 sedan at home that also uses the twin-piston sumitomos. I remember this from when I changed the brake pads a few years ago. I will double check to make sure this is 100%.Originally Posted by The Witzl
From memory there was an early and late model so perhaps the late models had the twin-spot sumitomos?

Yeah, from what Rex and poida were saying a while back they found the only XT130 in the wreckers which had twinpot calipers, so this would seem to support the difference.

I had a look last night at the completed product on the KE38 and it worked out as expected.
Same as Pug conversion described in this thread but using an MX32 Cressida struts.
The strut/hub setup fits a +38mm 17x7" wheel on the KE38 corolla (more common than the +10 to +20 more commonly required).
The camber on the final fitted product with the original corolla strut tops (not aftermarket adjustable tops) is about -0.25 degrees.
Not a bad option in my opinion.
With the Camry 1" master cylinder bolted to the stock KE38 booster it all works a treat and the car now has brakes capable of pulling it up![]()

So could I use this setup with RT132 calipers? If so is $60 for RT132 calipers a good price?
Cheers

just a thought ; changing the struts from L to R and R to L to put the caliper up front and not at the back ; will any geometry change thru this. KPI remains the same ; just thinking out aloud here?
it didn't seem to affect my setup (i had to do this)
also : do not use the ae95 tercel/4x4 brake master as it does not fit. the ae85 one does. (TA22 only)
another good one is the mitsu pajero/triton master - fits perfectly.
