I've got plenty of bad things to say about them.

There's an alternative dry-cell battery to the Oddessy, they're the same size but much cheaper and seem to be far more reliable.
I can't remember the name though sorry.

Electus (Jaycar wholesale) sell a big "Diamec" brand sealed lead-acid that would do the job well.
Only problem is trying to buy the thing.

I run a Delkor in the boot. They’re maintenance free and have a breather nipple which you can attach a hose to.
On the topic of venting your boot stuff -
I haven’t been bothered yet to attach a hose to it.
With a leaking fuel pump and a battery, the boot hasn’t exploded yet. I've even tried to give it a helping hand with a lighter, still nothing.

I dont mind my Oddessy. Although it only gets used maybe 6 times a year, and sits on trickle charge between usages.

I just baught an EG honda civic tank, VERY similar size and can be made shallower (pump is in the flattest part of the tank), I'll try fitting it soon. Should fit fine and if not then with some very minor mods. My biggest problem, the tanks from memory are only 37-45lts, so a 1G will chew through it in no time.

Oh yeah, cost me $100 with sender and intank pump.

    that sounds pretty good.

considering 28's are wat 50ltr i dont mind losing 5-10 for an intank setup.

pics and info worldwalkerwhen you get it going.

im also looking at infotechs thread in conversions... interesting adaption of a VL setup.

I wouldn't worry too much about the economy of a 1G, they are a lot better than an 18R. Granted if you have a heavy right foot, the fuel kinda vanishes but for normal driving they are quite good.
