I gues I needed to introduce myself before asking the simple Nissan question that I did.

I built, fabricate, own, tune, race, the fastest 4 cylinder cars here on the small island of Curacao.
    I have a record here of a 3TC (1.8liter) turbo only of 9.73 sec @ 142mph in a 2200lbs car (since 2003).

I tune Microtech, Haltech and Sakura ECU's and all of my customers have put a record in their class.

I own 4 Toyota's myself, one of them is a tube frame AE86, almost ready to hit mid-low 8 seconds.

An older single-cam turbo engine will have already had a hard life - so it might look like a cheap conversion at first but your parts consumption rate will make it eventually quite costly.

Seeing as you've got experience in tuning/performance cars, go for a dohc engine and stick a better ECU on it.

Seeing as you have an R33 I'd look at getting an RB25DET halfcut ex japan and just swap everything over including brakes etc. Assuming you can get these over there I have no idea.
    If in doubt power out
