Have you considered the wiring? not that hard if you have some idea of electrics, however its not plug and play.
Also exhaust will need doing cos that wont be straight bolt on either.
You may be able to swap and change various mounts to make it bolt in. But that will be trial and error.
I dunno if the driveshafts will be a straight swap from celica to camry......is the wheel track the same?
If you buy engine only make sure you get the silly things like igniter packs, injector resistor pack and other electrical bits.
Also i think the 3s and 5s crossmember are completely different, especially if you use the LSD gearbox....which are extremely hard to find by the way.
I have a complete 3s-gte and e153 LSD box here with wiring, ecu etc etc, currently in a car and running if you are interested, although you will still need mounts and bits and pieces to make it fit your camry.

forgot to include the /sarcasm tag

especially since im sitting here wondering why a camry needs a 3SGTE

would be good for suprising people, but not much else.

i doubt any companies would make aftermarket suspension etc. etc. for em, making it a whole lot of unmanagable power.

better off selling it and buying st162/st182.

gen 4 camry's actually do have some after market support (IIRC teins make stuff for them) . there is after market parts out there for camrys so dont discount them so easily. just because they're not your cup of tea, doesnt mean there's nothing out there.

and 3sgte's in camry's are great idea not much different in concept and rationale to putting one into a st16x/st18x etc. different course for horses mate

the S54 will take the power
i no of a few Gt2s with s54 camry boxes in them that take 150 KW atw, also SV21 boxes that take 190 KWATW
all you need is a cushioned button clutch to take the power before the box does to give it protection..

Yeah man leave the dude alone, at least he is being different, you know im keen for different. It would make for a nice sleeper, and there is still a bit of gear available for the camry too.

I say go ahead with the conversion, but just dont expect everything to be as straight forward as it may seem, be prepared for hickups along the way.............but remember anything is do able with enough patience/money/time/knowledge

By the way if you are still looking for someone to do the conversion i may be able to quote you on doing it, but would most likely be a loose quote due to not having dealt with 94 camry's yet. Although i have done 3S conversions into 5S equipped cars. Sort of similar.

    Pm me if interested.

i love the widebody camrys mate

my sister drives one! currently im driving it as my suplah isnt working!

its a great car, and im buying it off her once she gets enough money to buy a new car! but im not gonna be doing any circuit work with it or anything simply because i dont think that theres enough support for them, but if parts were more common i would seriously consider it!

ill be putting a 3SGTE manual in it as soon as i get it, as ill have the supra to drive around, but i dont expect it to be an overnight thing!

i wasnt attacking the camrys, they're great, they look good, and they'd suprise a fair few people if you had a built one!
